A Modern Walnut Kitchen with Slim Shaker Detail
This Westchester County kitchen was designed around the warmth of Walnut wood, the clean profile of Slim Shaker cabinetry, and the bright movement of Divino Quartz. The Medium stain brings out the natural grain of the walnut, giving the kitchen depth and richness without making the space feel heavy. The large island anchors the room, while the quartz waterfall surfaces, stainless steel range hood, black lighting, and open layout create a polished modern kitchen with strong visual balance.
Designer Sonny focused on creating a kitchen that feels open, functional, and connected to the surrounding living and dining areas. The cabinet layout provides storage across multiple zones, including tall cabinet sections, perimeter cabinetry, island storage, and dedicated spaces for cooking, preparation, serving, and beverage storage. The warm wood cabinetry works together with the light flooring, large windows, bright countertops, and clean architectural details to create a kitchen that feels natural, modern, and comfortable for daily use.
